The final weekend of the regular season delivered exactly what Texas college baseball fans wanted — statement wins, postseason punches, conference tournament chaos, and a few teams limping into May at the wrong time.
Texas closed strong heading into Hoover. Texas A&M survived a heavyweight SEC battle. Lamar dominated the Southland Tournament. Meanwhile, several Texas programs saw their momentum stall right before postseason play begins.
Here’s this week’s Texas College Baseball Stock Report.
Stock Up
Texas Longhorns
Texas enters postseason play looking like one of the hottest teams in the country.
The Longhorns took the final regular-season series against Missouri and capped it with a 12-7 win on Saturday. Texas continued to show offensive depth, timely hitting, and improved bullpen work down the stretch.
Even more importantly, the Longhorns secured the No. 2 seed in the SEC Tournament bracket. That gives Texas a favorable path in Hoover and keeps national seeding hopes very much alive.
Texas is playing complete baseball at the right time.

Texas A&M Aggies
Texas A&M bounced back after a rough opener against Mississippi State and showed serious toughness over the final two games of the series.
The Aggies gave up 18 runs Thursday night, but instead of folding, they responded with back-to-back wins over a ranked Bulldogs club. Friday’s 7-6 victory may have been one of their biggest momentum wins of the season.
Now the Aggies head into the SEC Tournament as the No. 3 seed with Omaha expectations still fully intact.
