The Aggies are back on the diamond this fall under second-year head coach Michael Earley, and expectations are sky-high in College Station. After a busy summer in the transfer portal and a strong incoming high school class, Texas A&M looks ready to make another run in the SEC and beyond.

Fall Exhibition Schedule

Blue Bell Park will host two fall exhibitions to give fans their first look at the retooled roster:

  • Friday, October 3 — vs. Sam Houston State
  • Friday, October 10 — vs. TCU

These games offer a sneak peek at the Aggies’ new lineup and pitching staff before the regular season begins.

Transfer Portal Additions

Texas A&M was one of the most aggressive programs in the nation when it came to reloading through the transfer portal — and it paid off.

  • SS Chris Hacopian (Maryland → Texas A&M)
    • One of the top transfer portal gets in the country. An impact bat with smooth infield defense, Hacopian instantly strengthens the Aggies’ lineup and middle infield.
  • OF Jake Duer (Florida Atlantic → Texas A&M)
    • Brings middle-of-the-order power and experience to the outfield—a high-upside bat expected to contribute immediately.
  • RHP MJ Bollinger (Florida Atlantic → Texas A&M)
    • Former FAU closer who racked up 11 saves in 2025. Expect Bollinger to handle high-leverage innings.
  • LHP Ethan Darden (Clemson → Texas A&M)
    • A versatile lefty with starting experience in the ACC, Darden will compete for rotation innings this spring.
  • RHP Juan Vargas (Tennessee Tech → Texas A&M)
    • High-strikeout reliever with eight saves last season. Should thrive in late-game situations.
  • C Zane Becker (Arkansas → Texas A&M)
    • A Texas native who brings defensive stability and competitive at-bats behind the plate.
  • INF Wesley Jordan (Baylor → Texas A&M)
    • A versatile infielder who gives the Aggies depth across the diamond. Jordan’s athleticism and defensive flexibility should make him a valuable piece this fall.

Note: LHP Carson Bailey (Baylor transfer) was initially expected to join the Aggies but has decided to play at McLennan CC instead.

Incoming Freshman Class

The Aggies landed one of the deepest 2025 recruiting classes in the country. Several prospects turned down MLB deals to come to College Station this fall.

On Campus This Fall

  • OF Luke Billings (Prosper, TX) — Opted out of the MLB Draft and brings athleticism and speed to the lineup.
  • SS/RHP Nico Partida (Manvel, TX) — Dual-threat talent who will contribute both on the mound and at the plate.
  • INF Boston Kellner (Hamilton HS, AZ) — A polished hitter with significant upside, projects as an early impact bat.
  • LHP David Ramirez (Clear Falls HS, TX) — Flipped to A&M in 2024 and stayed committed. Could see innings right away.
  • LHP Cole Hubert (PA) — Lefty arm with strong command and plenty of upside.
  • RHP Cooper Fulbright (Strake Jesuit, TX) — Local product with a starter’s toolkit.
  • OF Jorian Wilson (Hallettsville, TX) — Athletic outfielder with power potential.
  • OF Marco Jones (San Ramon Valley, CA) — A versatile outfielder who deepens the roster.

Signees Who Went Pro Instead

Several elite signees were drafted in July and signed MLB contracts, meaning they won’t be on campus this fall:

  • LHP Johnny Slawinski (Rd. 3, Angels) — Signed for $2.49M.
  • OF Josiah Hartshorn (Rd. 6, Cubs) — Record-setting $2.0M signing bonus.
  • OF Blaine Bullard (Rd. 12, Blue Jays) — Signed for $1.69M, a 12th-round record.
  • SS Matthew Boughton (Rd. 11, White Sox) — Signed and will begin his pro career.
  • RHP Chase Bentley (Rd. 19, Brewers) — Signed and joins Milwaukee’s system.

Fall Storylines to Watch

  • Shortstop Upgrade → Chris Hacopian’s arrival gives A&M a steady presence in the middle infield and adds a big bat to the order.
  • Bullpen Boost → Bollinger and Vargas strengthen the late innings, while Darden brings reliable left-handed depth.
  • Freshman Impact → Billings, Kellner, and Partida headline a talented group that could contribute sooner than expected.

Final Thoughts

Texas A&M heads into fall ball with high expectations and new firepower. Between a loaded transfer class and one of the nation’s best freshman crops, the Aggies are built to compete immediately in the SEC.

Fans will get an early glimpse of this team during the October exhibitions — and everything points toward another deep postseason run in 2026.
